Scam Email Alert

EasySavings - Interest Rates

We’ve recently received some Member enquiries in relation to a scam email that is targeting Easy Street Members

The email claims to be from Easy Street and advises Members that access has been temporarily prevented to their account as there is reason to believe that it has been accessed by some one else. It then asks the Member to run an attached file and follow some instructions.

Why is it potentially harmful?

As this link ends in 'exe', it is an 'executable file'. This means that clicking on this link can potentially start or run a malicious process that could result in some of your personal or account details being compromised.

What should I do if I have already clicked on the link?

If you have already clicked on the link, and have anti-virus software installed on your computer, check to see whether your anti-virus software has picked up any suspicious activity, as well as what programs may have been run on your computer at this time.

What to do if you receive a suspicious email

If you do receive such a communication, you should report it immediately to Easy Street. In addition:

  • Do not give out any of your details
  • Do not open any attachments
  • Do not click on any links
